You’ll soon be able to live movie magic and explore the world of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
A highlight of this new land is the Millennium Falcon where you can climb aboard and operate “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” when it opens tomorrow, May 31, 2019 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland® Park (and later this year in The Walt Disney World in Florida).*
Combining immersive storytelling with interactive gameplay, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run makes you the protagonist of your own Star Wars adventure in a way never before undertaken by Disney Parks.
Following the story line of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, you’ll enter the story after Chewbacca brings the Falcon to Black Spire Outpost for repairs at this spaceport on the edge of the galaxy, where in exchange for some much-needed replacement parts, Chewie is loaning the Falcon to Hondo Ohnaka, a smuggler turned “legitimate” businessman, who is now making good use of the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
When it’s time for your mission to begin, you’ll strap yourself into the Falcon cockpit along with 5 friends, where you’ll each be assigned one of three critical roles: Pilots, Gunners and Flight Engineers.
Disney Parks Blog recently had the opportunity to tour this incredible new attraction with Asa Kalama, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering. Let’s take a look!
